Bled is a rather old touristic town, one of the most picturesque alpine sites in NW Slovenia lying on the banks of the glacier lake Bled.Due to its beauty and magic was settled even in paleolitic but in modren times was the object of desire of many sovereigns starting with German Kaiser Henrik the 2nd to The Bischops of Brixen and to the recent rulers like King Alexandar Karadžordžević of Yugoslavia and Marschall Tito which used it either as a permanent residence or as a season's residence...
